Tom Brown is a Manager at DHJJ, specializing in accounting services, consulting, and individual and corporate tax planning and preparation. With a decade of experience in the accounting profession, Tom works primarily with service providers across a variety of industries. He finds the most rewarding part of his work is helping clients achieve their goals and grow their businesses through strategic tax-saving opportunities.

Tom chose the accounting field because of his passion for working in the service industry and his aspiration to become an entrepreneur.  He began his career at DHJJ as an intern, gaining valuable hands-on experience in various accounting services. Over time, has focused his expertise on becoming a reliable advisor for entrepreneurs and business owners. Tom’s analytical, collaborative, and detail-oriented approach to his work delivers exceptional service that supports long-term client success.

He earned his Bachelor of Applied Science from Northern Illinois University in 2016 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2021. He currently serves as Treasurer of the Kane County Bar Foundation, a role that reflects his commitment to both professional excellence and community engagement.

Outside of Work:

Tom enjoys giving back to the community through volunteering, including school events and serving on his local Park District Board.


He’s a regular at the library and enjoys the works of Stephen King and John Grisham.
