About
Connecting to clients and getting to know who they are, both as individuals and business owners, is one of Rick Ochenkowski’s favorite aspects of his role as a Principal at DHJJ. He serves individuals and business owners in a variety of industries, providing tax and business advisory services to help them strengthen their financial position.
Rick is a CPA and is continuing his professional education with a focus on financial planning to assist clients with long-term growth strategies. He serves in a number of professional and civic leadership positions including Treasurer of SamaraCare and membership on the Finance Committee of the DuPage Children’s Museum.
Originally from Chicago, Rick attended North Central College where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and an MBA in Finance. The choice to pursue an accounting career was an easy one for Rick. Always a “numbers person,” he enjoyed his first accounting class and the wide view it afforded him of business as well as a chance to interact with a variety of individuals.

Married, Rick and his wife Jen live in Naperville, Illinois with their two sons and daughter.

He played college baseball, reaching the conference tournament each year. Rick served as team captain his junior and senior year and was selected as 1st team All Conference and 2nd team All Region in his senior year.

In his free time, Rick enjoys staying active with his family by running, biking, hiking, working out and generally being outside playing sports as much as he can.
