Patrick Kolzow is a Principal at DHJJ providing closely-held companies with tax advisory services that include multi-state taxation. He has over 25 years of public accounting experience serving a wide variety of industries, with a particular emphasis on manufacturing, distribution and professional services firms.

Helping his clients save money and find successful tax and business strategies is a powerful motivator for Patrick, who relishes the relationships he builds as much as the variety of approaches he provides. Combining his years of federal, state and local tax and general business consulting, along with his audit and assurance experience, Patrick knows how to add value and reduce liability for a multitude of industry sectors.

Patrick got his first accounting experience in high school, doing the books for his father’s business. He went on to study at the University of Missouri as an Evans Scholar (a scholarship for caddies run by the Western Golf Association) where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting before pursuing his Masters in Taxation from DePaul University.

Patrick is the first person to volunteer if he thinks his knowledge will help someone else. Patrick was a past board member of the Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce and a past board member and treasurer of Walther Lutheran High School Association. He also volunteers with the Evans Scholar program.

Outside of Work:

Patrick and his wife, Christine, live in Naperville, Illinois.
