Mark Mooney is a Principal at DHJJ who has more than 20 years in public accounting and specializes in U.S. GAAP accounting and financial reporting. He provides clients from a variety of industries including manufacturing, distribution, construction, and 401k plans with audit, review, and other assurance services.
Mark is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and provides fraud services including investigations for fraudulent reporting, employee embezzlement, expense fraud, and other acts of employee dishonesty, internal corporate investigations, and internal control reviews. Mark also performs peer review services. As a certified Peer Review Team Captain, Mark performs system peer reviews for other accounting firms under standards established by the Peer Review Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
A member of the AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society, he also serves as Board Chair for the Fox Valley United Way. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Butler University.
Outside of Work:
Mark is married and has two children.
In his free time, he enjoys training for marathons and triathlons.
