Elizabeth (Liz) Gonzalez is the Director of Operations and Human Resources at DHJJ. Liz has 22 years of experience and is responsible for all firm operations, including human resources, new-hire orientation, onboarding and training, writing procedures and policies, benefits, and insurance. She is also involved in tax season processes and administrative staff management.
Among her many functions, Liz particularly enjoys helping employees select the appropriate benefit options, and – in an unusual twist – she looks forward to tax season when she electronically files all types of tax returns for DHJJ’s clients. Additionally, Liz is somewhat of a “jack of all trades” who sits on multiple committees and is involved in many aspects of the firm and the greater business community.
A graduate of North Central College with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance, Liz holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HCRI). She is a member of the Association for Accounting Administration and the Society for Human Resource Management.
Outside of Work:
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, she’s a lifelong Pittsburgh Penguins and Pirates fan. Since moving to Illinois years ago, she’s adopted the Chicago Blackhawks and Cubs as her absolute favorite teams.
Liz and her husband of have a son and a daughter.
She enjoys running, swimming and cooking to unwind.
