Kevin Mulligan is a Principal at DHJJ, where he serves a diverse range of clients with a focus on small business owners. With nearly three decades of experience in both tax and assurance, Kevin offers a comprehensive perspective that brings added value to a variety of client situations, an aspect of his work he finds especially rewarding. Since joining DHJJ in 2000, he has embodied the firm’s culture, defined by collaborative teamwork, a client-first approach, and a forward-thinking advisory mindset, which he believes sets DHJJ apart from other accounting firms.
He specializes in helping small businesses across industries strengthen their foundations, streamline operations, and plan strategically for long-term growth. As a well-rounded generalist, Kevin supports clients across a wide spectrum of accounting and advisory needs. In addition, he brings deep expertise in 401(k) audits and provides expert-level QuickBooks support.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. Xavier University and is both a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
Outside of Work:
Kevin lives in Lockport with his wife and two teenage sons, Brady and Colin.
Originally from Chicago’s South Side, Kevin has, and always will, cheer for his beloved White Sox.
Kevin held a Coast Guard Captain’s license. He served both as a deckhand and captain during college.
