John Riesbeck is a Principal at DHJJ. He is passionate about providing his clients with financial statements, tax preparation and advice that helps them interpret their fiscal information so they can make informed decisions about their businesses.
Helping clients navigate the challenges of making important financial decisions, John’s specialties include entity selection, long term business and financial planning, and strategic planning for succession or sale. He joined the DHJJ team after forming his own firm and growing it to include 12 people in addition to serving as a partner at another established firm prior to that.
As a Certified Financial Planner ™ and CPA with a Master of Science in Taxation from DePaul University, John is keenly aware of the role careful planning can play in business success. He also holds Bachelor of Science in Management and Master of Business Administration degrees from Illinois Institute of Technology. Professional memberships include the AICPA, Illinois CPA Society and Financial Planning Association (FPA).
Outside of Work:
Though his children are adults with children of their own, John’s entire family lives within blocks of each other and almost always attend church together on Sundays.
Utah is the most beautiful place on the planet, as far as John is concerned. He spends his vacation time traveling out west.
John was (and still is, when the mood strikes him) a rock-n-roll drummer who played in a garage band as a teenager.
