About

Brent Townsend is a Principal at DHJJ with over 15 years experience in public accounting. His services include assurance engagement, financial statement preparation, accounting services, and personal and business tax return preparation.

Brent often works with manufacturers and distributors, using his expertise in U.S. GAAP to help companies with their accounting and financial statement presentation and disclosures. His experience with many different types of companies has helped him understand how businesses are run and he uses this knowledge to better serve his clients.

A native of Dwight, Illinois, Brent received his Bachelors of Arts in Accounting and Finance at North Central College and then went on to get his MBA with an emphasis in Accounting. Brent is also a member of DHJJ’s Innovative Services group. He is the treasurer for the non-profit Child Care Resource & Referral which facilitates affordable, quality child care for families.

• Brent, his wife Kim and their two young children live in Plainfield, Illinois.

   

• As a family, they like to get out and go camping as well as play any outdoor games.

   

• He is also a baseball fanatic and enjoys cheering on the Chicago Cubs.
