Ben Thanepohn is a Principal at DHJJ with over 15 years of experience in public accounting. His services include assurance engagement, financial statement preparation, accounting services, and personal and business tax return preparation.

Ben has experience with a variety of companies across many industries, and he uses this knowledge to serve his clients better. He often works with manufacturers and contractors to address their unique accounting and tax needs.

Originally from Newark, Illinois, Ben received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Masters in Accounting Science from Northern Illinois University before being accepted into DHJJ’s Internship Program. He is a CPA and a member of the AICPA and ILCPAS.

• Ben, his wife, Caley, and their three young children live in Yorkville, Illinois.

   

• Their family is driven by their faith. Ben serves on a committee at church and frequently volunteers.

   

• He is also a fan of all the Chicago sports teams, Cubs, Bears, and the Bulls.
