Tim Johnson serves entrepreneurial clients as a Principal at DHJJ. Working with closely held businesses, often family-owned enterprises, his exceptional strengths lie in analyzing financial data and facilitating mergers and acquisitions. He has a knack for seeing the big picture, cutting through the clutter to get to the key issues and resolve problems. Tim is also a great facilitator with the ability to uncover what the other party really wants from the deal. This allows him to negotiate successful transactions that maximize the benefit for DHJJ clients.
Over his 35 years at the firm, Tim has seen a vast array of business situations, both successful and disastrous. The result is a profound understanding of the factors that affect business outcomes, allowing him to serve as his clients’ most trusted advisor.
Tim is a member of the AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois, where he grew up. His long history of civic involvement includes prior service as a Rotary Club President.
Tim and his wife have three adult children, one of whom has joined the DHJJ team. When relaxing, he enjoys golf, travel and his annual waterskiing adventure.
