As a Senior Manager at DHJJ with more than 15 years of experience in public accounting, Nicholas Brooks serves many professional service companies including those in marketing, interior design, consulting, staffing, printing, and packaging, as well as manufacturers and distributors.
Nicholas offers tax strategies for businesses and individuals, along with controllership services, but he has a broad accounting background and can also help his clients with many aspects of their business, including computer systems, payroll, human resources, practice management and strategic planning. He is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and works with business owners to give them a true picture of their company’s value and how it may impact their future.
The first in his family to go to college, Nicholas has a dual degree, a Bachelor of Business Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Information Management from Western Illinois University. He is a member of the AICPA, Illinois CPA Society, and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA).
When Nicholas isn’t helping his clients solve complex problems, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters in Hampshire, IL, and cruising around in his 1969 Dodge Charger.
- When Nicholas was 5, he wanted to be an astronaut, but after having a great accounting teacher in high school, he knew he wanted to become a CPA.
- Speaking of that classic car, it’s not the only one in the family. Him and his dad have sequentially numbered 1969 Dodge Chargers.
- Nicholas loves being outside, especially if he gets to go mountain biking. And since he has a need for speed, his favorite dessert is No Bake cookies.
