Meaghan Wingbermuehle is a Senior Manager at DHJJ and the leader of the State and Local Tax (SALT) Practice Group, with a special emphasis on multi-state taxation. Her passion is communicating closely with clients to build strong personal relationships as well as helping them grow financially.

Serving a wide swath of industries, her clients include service firms, manufacturing operations, retailers, grocery stores, funeral homes and others. These business owners look to Meaghan for her expertise with their state and local taxes as well as sales and payroll taxes, accounting and QuickBooks support. She is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and a licensed CPA.

Meaghan is an active member of both the American Institute of CPAs and Illinois CPA Society. As a student, she displayed the kind of obsessive focus that has served her well in the accounting profession – never once did she earn less than an ‘A’ in college or before. She earned her B.S. in Accounting at Elmhurst College, graduating with the Senior of the Year award.

Meaghan and her husband live in Winfield, Illinois with their three dogs: his, hers and theirs. Animals have played an important role in the couple’s life together – they got married at the Brookfield Zoo! – and one of Meaghan’s favorite hobbies is painting animals. She also helps the animals in her community through her volunteer work at the P.A.C.T. Humane Society. Baking is another of Meaghan’s major interests, and not coincidentally, she has a serious soft spot for homemade cookies.

Fun Facts:

  • Meaghan can wiggle her ears and nose. (It’s harder than you may think!)
  • Her favorite classes in school were economics and kick-boxing.
  • When she’s not in the mood for painting elephants, turtles or giraffes, Meaghan enjoys skydiving just to keep things interesting.
