Arleen Bankemper is a Principal at DHJJ who specializes in accounting software and payroll. She brings over 25 years of experience, over 22 years with DHJJ, to her role helping clients in multiple industries achieve new efficiencies and accurate, visible accounting processes.
Arleen’s services for clients include tax and accounting, payroll and software consulting. Her deep and broad knowledge of accounting software systems, including industry-specific programs, allows her to provide knowledgeable support in determining the package that best fits her clients’ needs, along with installation, setup and training. She is a QuickBooks® ProAdvisor and Intacct certified, with specialized skills in all aspects of payroll accounting. Arleen is also a part of the State and Local Tax (SALT) group and frequently writes on topics in this area.
Arleen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from North Central College as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Arizona. In addition, she is fluent in Spanish. She is a member of the AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society.
A resident of Naperville, Illinois, Arleen has two adult sons. Away from the office, her passion’s include her horse, Dooley, and her grand-dog, Ellie.
- Arleen has a knack for working with animals. She is an enthusiastic horse owner who both rides and shows her beloved steed.
- She doesn’t stop there – Arleen is also involved in dressage (the dancing horses), including participation in state, national and Olympic dressage organizations.
- Like most CPAs, Arleen plays golf but with one distinct advantage: she began her relationship with the sport at the age of five.
