Mary Lynn Hoffer brings over 40 years of accounting experience to DHJJ. Over the years, she has found that adaptability is one of the most valuable keys to success. Along with a keen eye for detail, Mary Lynn is known for exceptional writing skills that she uses for the benefit of clients as well as colleagues.
A Certified Valuation Analyst® (CVA®) and a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), Mary Lynn works with clients in a multitude of industries, listening and guiding them to greater success. She concentrates on providing business valuations, general accounting and management consulting for closely held businesses of all sizes. Past experience also includes internal control consulting, audits, reviews and compilations, and corporate tax services.
Litigation support for clients and the legal community is another of Mary Lynn’s special focus areas, and she serves as a consultant and expert witness. In addition, she provides accounting-related professional services to support attorneys in cases that involve fraud, and other forensic accounting matters.
In addition to being a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Illinois CPA Society, Mary Lynn is a dedicated volunteer and has enjoyed many years of service with The Rotary Club of Naperville and Naperville Rotary Charities. She also contributes her time and talent to other local nonprofit organizations as well as volunteering at her church, including treasurer of SamaraCare Counseling. .
A native of Springfield, Illinois, Mary Lynn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Bradley University.
Outside of Work:
She and her husband live in Naperville where they find a steady stream of do-it-yourself projects maintaining their home and yard.
Mary Lynn and her husband are the parents of two adult children.
In her leisure hours, she enjoys reading, gardening and the occasional bowl of mocha fudge ice cream.
