Mary Laidman is a Senior Quality Control Manager at DHJJ who brings over 30 years of accounting and auditing experience to her role assisting clients at the firm’s St. Charles office. Mary provides knowledgeable assurance services and financial reporting to a wide range of industries. In addition, she leads the Firm’s quality control team, serving as a technical reviewer to ensure that financial statements are correct and in compliance with professional standards. Mary oversees the Firm’s quality control monitoring and annual inspection, and is the liaison for the Firm’s triennial peer review.
Whether providing audits, reviews or compilations, Mary enjoys meeting and getting to know the business owners and executives that lead the companies she serves. For every type of client engagement, Mary takes the time to make insightful recommendations to help keep their businesses strong. Mary also
performs peer reviews for other accounting firms under the Illinois CPA Society’s Peer Review Program, as well as providing monitoring and technical review services to other firms in the area.
Mary holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University-Northridge. She currently serves on the Audit and Assurance Services Committee for the Illinois CPA Society.
Outside of Work:
In the community, Mary serves on the City of Naperville Financial Advisory Board, as well as Campfire USA Illinois Prairie Finance Committee.
She and her husband are long-time Naperville residents, with two children and two dogs.
In her free time, Mary enjoys travel and the theater.
