Emily Verdone is a Senior Manager with 5 years of experience at DHJJ, helping individuals and their families with tax planning, tax preparation, and financial planning. Emily is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a Certified Financial Planner™.
Loving her high school accounting courses, Emily knew she was destined for the accounting field. She strives to serve every client to the highest of standards with a smile. She builds personal relationships with clients as she helps them with their complex issues.
Emily earned her Bachelor of Science and Leadership & Masters in Arts in Accountancy at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. She also earned a certificate in Social Entrepreneurship, studying microfinance and social change in Mexico. She participated in the DHJJ Internship program before joining full-time.

Outside of Work:
Emily lives with her husband, young son, and dog “Gigi” in Sycamore.
As a wedding gift from her husband, Emily went sky-diving and crossed it off her running bucket list.
With help from her homebuilder dad, Emily has been learning a lot remodeling her house.
