Volunteering is a way of life for Amber, who went on short-term mission trips over a period of five years with GO Ministries. On these trips, she traveled to the Dominican Republic doing mission work in sugar cane villages on the Haitian border, where the group built nutritional feeding centers for the malnourished children, built other buildings for the villagers, and held medical clinics. Today, Amber serves on the finance committee of the Avenue Christian Church. She and her husband have two young daughters.
Outside of Work:
Small town IL to world traveler
Amber has visited 13 countries, 4 of them more than once. So far, Italy is her favorite.
She enjoys volunteer work and has participated in several trips with GO Ministries.
Amber’s hometown of Jacksonville, Illinois, may be small at only 25,000 residents but it has a unique distinction: Jacksonville is the home of the Eli Bridge Company that builds the Ferris Wheels seen at amusement parks and fairs across the nation.
