Alexander Rivas is a Tax Manager at DHJJ in our State and Local Tax Practice Group. With over six years of specialized multi-state experience, Alexander helps privately held businesses and their shareholders with complex tax situations.
He serves a variety of industries, with a heavy emphasis on businesses operating in multiple states and localities. Alexander enjoys the intricate nature of tax laws and the opportunity to provide businesses and individuals with strategic guidance. Alex takes pride in being at the forefront of technological advancements in the accounting world. Alexander has his Master of Accountancy from UT Dallas, where he resides, and a Bachelor in Finance from Baruch in New York. He is a certified public accountant.

Alex is a first generation from the Dominican Republic and lives with a curious cat named Jitsu.
Alexander has a host of athletic hobbies. From tennis to martial arts to swimming to weightlifting, he enjoys a little of everything.
When it’s time for vacation Alexander looks no further than home, the Dominican Republic, where he has family ties.
